Online Tug of War is a virtual team-building experience designed to bring the competitive energy of a traditional tug-of-war into an online workplace setting. Instead of physically pulling a rope, teams compete through a series of fast-paced games and challenges, earning points throughout the session and battling to finish at the top of the leaderboard.
The experience can include The Social Mixer Challenge, Virtual Team Formation, Wear Your Bandana, Minute to Win It Challenges, Online Boggle, and the Phrase Craze Challenge. The different rounds test speed, creativity, coordination, word skills, decision-making, and teamwork.
Participants are divided into multiple teams using virtual breakout rooms. Teams get an opportunity to interact and strategise before returning to the main virtual arena. The session then builds a competitive atmosphere with team names, bandanas, war cries, rules, and a shared scorecard.
Since the experience is completely online, employees can participate from their homes or offices across major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Gurugram, Noida, Kochi, Goa, Indore, Lucknow, Surat, Nagpur, Bhubaneswar, Visakhapatnam, and Coimbatore, as well as other locations across India.
The activity is designed for 10–70 participants and is facilitated by 1 professional artist. The smaller group size allows participants to remain actively involved in the challenges while working together within their respective teams.
