Every Event Is a Story I Tell With My Heart

By Nikita Singh

There’s something about working in the world of events that no one ever really explains before you join it.

It’s not the excitement you feel when the lights go up. It’s not the applause that echoes around you. It’s not even the perfectly timed execution of every element on the checklist.

For me, it’s the stories that unfold in every tiny, unseen moment.

When I first walked into this industry, I thought it would be about big moments - the grand entrances, the headline artists, the spectacular final reveal. That was part of it, sure. But what I didn’t realize was that the real magic lives in the pieces people never see.

It lives in the first call you make at 6 AM
It lives in the last message you send at midnight
It lives in the way you calm a nervous performer
It lives in every problem you solve before anyone even knows it existed

In events, no two days are the same. That’s not a cliché - that’s a fact. Every event is a new challenge, a new story, a new set of surprises.

And guess what? I love it.

Because the thing about events is - you’re not just organizing tasks. You’re building experiences. You’re creating moments that become memories. You’re giving people the story they’ll tell their friends or family tomorrow.

Yes, there are days when things don’t go to plan. An anchor is stuck in a traffic. The sound system has a technical hiccup. The fabricator forgot to bring nuts and bolts (yes this actually happened)

But here’s the thing - those unexpected twists are why we love this life.

When something goes wrong, it’s not frustration that kicks in first - it’s instinct. It’s creativity. It’s a quick, confident pivot that says: “We’ll handle this.”

That’s what makes an event truly unforgettable - not just the smooth moments, but the ones where everything had to be rescued, refined, reinvented - and then delivered perfectly.

Behind every successful event, there’s a team that sweats the details no one sees - the logistics, the coordination, the timing, the hospitality, the invisible hours of preparation. And that’s where I’ve found my purpose.

People always talk about the stage - the performance, the show, the highlight. But for me, the spotlight doesn’t begin with the mic check. It starts in the moments before it - when the team is preparing, adjusting, hustling without applause.

I’ve learned that the most meaningful moments don’t happen on stage. They happen behind it - in the effort, the teamwork, and the trust that brings an event to life.

And honestly? Once you’ve lived this life - you don’t just remember it… you start chasing it.

Because in this world, every challenge is exciting, every problem is an opportunity, and every event is a story worth telling.
